This afternoon (11/23/21), in our Rambam Bekius chavurah, we took a break from Hilchos Talmud Torah. Seeing as how my 21st geriversary is coming up this Thursday, we decided to review the Rambam's halachos about converting to Judaism. Since we only spent one session on this topic, we didn't have time to go through ALL the halachos, but at least we covered the halachos about the conversion process itself - in addition to taking a detour to the topic of milah for non-Jews. This was definitely more "bekius" than "bekiyun," but hopefully it's as interested to you as it was to us!

Note that this is a bekius chavurah - as opposed to an iyun shiur. Each session consists of us reading through the Rambam's writings together without much preparation on my part, and without going into depth by consulting commentaries or primary sources. For all these reasons, there are bound to be inaccuracies, errors, and other types of shortcomings which would not be acceptable in a prepared shiur, but are quite typical of a bekius chavurah.
